SPF filter system for breeder farms

The French company Fancom Eurl has supplied recently a SPF Filter system for Grand Parent Stock for Poultry. Based on the know-how, that Fancom Eurl has gained in various Grand Parent Farms in Pig Business, Fancom received orders for building the same system in a Breeding farm for poultry Parent Stock.

The supply of clean outside air is guaranteed by this SPF system for achieving optimal production results in the breeding sector of pig and poultry livestock.

Key in the SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) Ventilation systems is a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter system of a certain Class for the ambient air, and an overpressure ventilation system that keeps overpressure in all production houses to avoid contamination by other rooms or outside environment. The applied Hygiene Class HEPA 13 means that the filter removes 99,95 % of particles of 0,3 micro meters out of the air.

A typical SPF system consists of a HEPA filter system, heating, cooling and humidification system, speed controllable supply fan based on pressure, central supply duct, individual temperature control system, individual exhaust duct with air volume control for maintenance of overpressure in every room, and individual or central exhaust system with possibility of air washing.

In a typical building of 8 Rooms in a pig house 13 overpressure controls are installed to register and prove the hygiene level as requested by the customer. Different overpressure levels are maintained as a cascade system. The Fancom control system uses a patented measuring Fan in the ATM unit to ventilate exactly the necessary amount of air for the oxygen supply of the animals and to maintain a comfortable climate in the production rooms, and ensuring an overpressure in the rooms.
