Equal climate in the entire house
Equal climate in the entire house
The climate is controlled by a complete MTT system with air inlet valves with blackouts in the side walls and modulating fans in the ridge of the house. In front of the tunnel inlets, cool pads have been installed. Large fans in the end wall ensure the tunnel effect during maximum ventilation.
Egg counting new for Lusiaves
Egg counting new for Lusiaves
New is the choice to install an egg counting system, that not only will give insight in the egg production, but which also controls the speed of the egg conveyors. The system starts with the control of the egg conveyors under the nests in the house.
Less damage to eggs during egg collection
Less damage to eggs during egg collection
The eggs pass the infrared counter just before reaching the conveyor in the central corridor. That way the speed of the conveyors in the house can be controlled automatically to ensure a continuous and equal flow, making optimal use of the packing capacity. This speeds up the egg collection process up to 4 times and saves labour. On top of that there are much less starts/stops, because of which there will hardly be any damage to the valuable eggs.
Extensive supervision

Lusiaves SA and its installer Inoxnorma Lda are familiar with the Fancom systems, but the 746 egg counting system is new to them. That is why during start-up of the system Fancom provides extensive instruction and training by sending over one of the Fancom specialists. From left to right: Elpídio Francisco, Nelson Moreira (Inoxnorma), Jan Haenraets (Fancom) and Jaime Estevão (Inoxnorma).

For many years Fancom has been the automation partner for Lusiaves SA in Portugal. Their latest project consists of two groups of 5 parent stock houses each, which will house a total of 6000 hens and about 600 cocks.

New is the application of egg counters with egg conveyor control, which avoids manual counting and registration.
