Less heat stress with HumiTemp ventilation control

Fancom introduces HumiTemp, a new intelligent ventilation control that automatically creates the best possible indoor climate for your animals even with extreme outdoor temperatures combined with a high, or too low, air humidity.

Traditional ventilation systems often control based on the temperature alone, or with a simple correction to the humidity, and fail to take the temperature in the house into account. And that when it is precisely the relationship between temperature and humidity that is so influential on the house climate. HumiTemp ventilation control takes these factors into consideration and always calculates the combination of humidity and temperature (humidex index) and takes this as the basis for the optimal fan position. This unique method automatically ensures that at high outside temperatures in combination with high humidity, ventilation is increased to avoid the animals suffering any heat stress. This may be the case in a (sub) tropical climate, but also early in the morning on a summer's day or during a thunder storm.

The user simply sets the required setpoint once as usual and the computer will automatically control towards an optimal indoor climate under all conditions. Fluctuating temperatures or humidity are automatically corrected. Even the dew point effects no longer have a negative influence on the house climate.

Another new feature is the display of the wind chill factor of the animal in the house. This wind chill factor is calculated using the temperature, humidity and air speed in the house and gives a far more realistic picture of animal welfare than just the measured temperature.

The latest generation of Fancom climate controllers is fitted with this new ventilation control as standard from now on. Existing houses with this Fancom equipment can now also enjoy the benefits of HumiTemp by applying an update.
