Poultry farm Jorritsma

The company consists of a poultry farm with 425.000 broilers, a feed factory and a ‘bio-digester’ or energy factory, which supplies green electricity to no less than 2.700 households.

These three core activities are very closely related. The poultry farm consists of 13 houses. Jorritsma uses a complete Fancom automation connected to FarmManager. The installation has been made by Fancom distributor Agrotechniek in Hoogeveen.

New on his farm is the eYeNamic behaviour monitor. Three cameras in the ridge of one of his houses register continuously the behaviour of the animals and give important management information about their spreading and activity. Tjep Jorritsma not only focuses on growth. He also continues to seek possibilities to control the costs of this production process as well as possible. With the integrated management solution of Fancom he thinks to keep grip on the situation in his houses.
