Everything you need to know about reducing costs at the Fancom stand during Eurotier

From 15 to 18 November, Fancom will once again be present at the Eurotier fair in Hanover, Germany. This year, our new stand and a number of interesting innovations, will draw attention to how farmers can exploit barn automation to cut costs. The sky-rocketing prices of energy and feed are seriously jeopardising the profitability of pig and poultry farming. Our total barn automation systems provide farmers with the tools they need to efficiently run their farms from day-to-day. They result in better conditions in the barn, enabling the best results at minimal expense.

Energy-saving climate control with even more energy-efficient fans

Our precision ventilation systems enable farmers to save ventilation and heating costs without compromising quality. For example, we’ll be presenting the large I-fan 145Xtra at the trade fair, the latest version of our I-fan, with improved energy efficiency.

Efficient feeding systems

Our feeding systems automate the entire feeding process, from storage, feed preparation, mixing and dosing to registration. A well organised feeding process offers countless advantages. The correct dose and optimal composition promote maximum feed conversion and healthy animal growth. Feed waste is minimised, which keeps feed costs manageable.

Ear tag recognition for the Intellitek sow feeding station

Another novelty at the fair is the expansion of the Intellitek sow feeding station. It features pre-recognition, so that sows that have lost their ear tag are rapidly detected and automatically separated from the group. This reduces stress among the sows, and prevents additional production costs.

Insight into animal performance

Our monitoring systems provide management information which enables the farmer to understand animal behaviour and the production process at all levels. At the fair, we’ll be exhibiting the innovative eYeGrow. This camera weighing system automatically charts the growth of finishers without subjecting them to stress. Pig farmers gain more insight into animal performance, and can save on feed costs.

Data provides producers with an extra tool

We’ll also be presenting the latest version of the FarmManager software at the fair. It allows important data from the control computers in the barn to be shared very easily via the cloud. Livestock farmers can use it to analyse and manage their farming processes better, without having to physically enter the barn. The savings in time and associated expense speak for themselves.
