NLW Groep turns Fancom green

On Thursday 31 March, new Fancom workwear was presented to the employees of NLW Groep. NLW Groep is a local, socially inclusive workplace that performs assembly work on Fancom motors and fans. This underlines just how important Fancom considers NLW to be as an extension of its own production facility. In fact, it is so important that the NLW employees are the very first to be presented with workwear that displays Fancom’s new logo! For the employees at NLW, this strengthens their sense of engagement with their work. This engagement shown by NLW employees is highly valued by Fancom. For many years, NLW has been a reliable and flexible partner in carrying out assembly work.

Wim Berden, Production Manager at Fancom and Ludo Peeters, Purchase Manager at Fancom handed over the new workwear to the employees at NLW. Wim Berden: ‘We’re really pleased to have consolidated our partnership in this way’.

Engagement

This process started some years ago when the NLW production sites in Panningen and Venray were styled using the same corporate identity as the partners they work with. The next step was taken on 31 March. Now the assembly team can work in Fancom workwear displaying the new logo and distinctive green accents.

Flexible partner

The engagement of NLW employees is highly valued by Fancom. For many years, NLW has been a reliable partner carrying out part of Fancom’s assembly work. As Wim Berden says ‘NLW has proven to be a dependable and flexible partner, and perfectly matches our needs and the wishes of our customers’.

Corporate social responsibility

Ludo Peeters adds: ‘We like to outsource activities, and prefer to do so locally, to give better guarantees of lead times and flexibility. We also consider it part of our corporate social responsibility to promote socially inclusive opportunities for everyone to participate in the labour market, without losing sight of the commercial aspects, of course’.

Proud

Fancom and NLW have been partners for more than 30 years. The employees are proud of the technical work they carry out. That includes assembly assistant Leo Hoefdraad who, with NLW Manager Theo Verstappen, was presented with the new workwear.
