Report a Product Security Incident

Please do not include passwords, access credentials, personal data or other sensitive information in an unencrypted email.

If you have relevant log files, screenshots or other supporting information available, please send them separately by email to: security@fancom.com

For sensitive information, please request instructions for encrypted file transfer before sending attachments.

If there is an immediate risk to animal welfare, farm operations or personal safety, please also contact your Fancom dealer or Fancom Technical Support by telephone.

What happens after your report?

Fancom will:

  • Acknowledge receipt of your report.
  • Perform an initial assessment and determine its severity.
  • Contact you if additional information is required.
  • Investigate the reported vulnerability or incident.
  • Develop and communicate appropriate mitigation or corrective measures.
  • Notify the relevant authorities and affected users when legally required.

We aim to acknowledge security reports within one working day.

Coordinated disclosure

Please allow Fancom reasonable time to investigate and resolve the issue before disclosing it publicly. We ask you to avoid:

  • accessing or changing data that does not belong to you;
  • disrupting Fancom services or customer operations;
  • performing actions that could affect animals, people or production processes;
  • using social engineering, physical attacks or denial-of-service testing;
  • sharing vulnerability details with third parties before a solution is available.

Fancom will treat reports made in good faith responsibly and will not pursue legal action against researchers who comply with these conditions.
