Multi-phase feeding

The right portion in the right composition per feeding place

Feed is the most important cost item on your pig farm. So you logically want to take a smart approach to managing feed. Which is why you feed precisely the ration your animals need. Your animals will grow optimally and you can control the costs of feed.

Feed according to need

Pigs are increasingly able to efficiently convert their feed into meat. It is therefore important to carefully examine the precise nutritional needs of the animals and feed them a ration that is accurately formulated to achieve optimal technical results. And as soon as possible, switch to cheaper feed with a lower mineral content.  This will not only reduce feed costs, but also prevent the unnecessary excretion of minerals in the manure and urine. Pig producers who want greater flexibility in the choice of feed, feed transitions and the ration per feeder choose a multi-phase feeding system. This system increases their control over the feeding process and allows them to feed precisely what the animals need at individual feeding places.

Multi-phase feeding

The multi dry feed system feeds the right portion in the right composition per feeding place. The feed composition can be changed daily to precisely suit the animals' needs. The transition is very gradual so the animals have no problem adapting to different feed. The amount given corresponds precisely to the growth and mix curve. The result is stronger growth and less susceptibility to diseases. Always feeding the animals the right blend, and being able to switch to cheaper feed with less minerals in time, also allows you to save on feed costs.

How does multi-phase feeding work?

The control computer calculates the precise size and composition of the feed ration per valve. It generates an accurate report of the required feed composition. To create the ration, the components in the silo are dosed into the weigher/mixer, weighed accurately and mixed if necessary. It is also possible to add farm-grown ingredients or by-products to the feed as a way of controlling the costs.

A calm house

For a higher dosing rate, it is important to prepare and dose out the feed simultaneously. Several portions must also be present in the feeding system at the same time and the control computer must be able to control multiple circuits at the same time. This enables large groups of animals to be fed in a relatively short space of time and ensures the animals stay calm and content. The clear feed data registration enables the user to calculate precise index numbers, compare data and make informed decisions. So you can manage the feed costs and the growth performance and results of your animals.

Forward thinkers

Forward Thinkers have one foot in the present and one foot in the future. What they do, they do well. And to keep it that way, they look ahead. Can it be done differently, can it be done better than we are doing now?
