Ventilation system for central exhaust

Sufficient fresh air for all the animals in the house using a central exhaust duct

Your aim is plenty of fresh air for all the animals in the house, including houses with a central exhaust duct. With a central exhaust system, air from the various sections in the house is brought together in a central air duct to exit the house at a single emission point. Using a central exhaust duct makes it easy to move the emission point in the house or use an air scrubber system for post-treatment of the ventilation air. Central exhaust helps reduce ammonia emissions, dust and noise in order to comply with the demands placed by environmental permit applications.

CentralFlow is Fancom's intelligent ventilation system for air flow measurement, developed especially for houses with a central exhaust duct. The system automatically ensures there is enough fresh air in all the sections, using a minimum of energy. CentralFlow is suitable for sections housing finishers, sows and piglets.

How does a central exhaust system work?

In a central exhaust system the air is extracted by exhaust fans in the central duct. The section with the highest ventilation demand determines the speed of the central fans. Each section has a highly accurate measuring and control unit that continually measures and regulates the amount of ventilation in each section. To achieve the right volume of air in sections with a lower demand, the inlets damp the air exhaust in these sections, so that each section is supplied with enough fresh air.

Energy saving

The unique aspect of the CentralFlow control is that it doesn't simply take the section with the highest demand into account, but also continually checks the positions of all the inlets. The system ensures the control valves are in an optimal position, under all circumstances. All the sections are supplied with enough fresh air using minimum energy. This creates an additional 20% extra energy savings compared to traditional central exhaust systems.

Minimum heating costs

The airflow transmitter continuously and precisely measures the ventilation in the section Thanks to the security of accurate air flow measurement CentralFlow creates high precision ventilation - never too much and never too little. An additional advantage is that no warm air is extracted unnecessarily, so heating costs can be minimised.

Healthy animals

Outside influences have no impact on the minimum ventilation. Even if the wind is blowing against the air inlet, CentralFlow safeguards stable minimum ventilation to extract moisture, CO2, NH3 and dust and to introduce oxygen rich air. The result is a constant air flow with any draughts. This automatically creates optimal environmental conditions in the house, so your animals can realise their full potential.

Forward thinkers

Forward Thinkers have one foot in the present and one foot in the future. What they do, they do well. And to keep it that way, they look ahead. Can it be done differently, can it be done better than we are doing now?
